As a birth educator, birth doula, remedial massage therapist specialising in pregnancy, and as a pelvic care practitioner, Mel has supported thousands of women through their pregnancies, births and beyond over the last 16 years.

Mel's passion is working with women to support both their wellbeing and their physical body. She is mother to two teen girls and has personally experienced both birthing at home and the hospital system.
Mel's aim is to help you and your birthing partner feel prepared, confident, supported, empowered to ask questions, make decisions and create positive experiences through pregnancy, birth and into early parenthood.
Over the last 16 years Mel has been fortunate to learn from some incredibly accomplished & respected teachers in the birthing world such as; Janet Balaskas 'Active Birth', Gail Tully 'Spinning Babies', Jenny Blyth & Fiona Hallinan 'Birthwork', Ginny Phang-Davey 'Optimal Maternal Positioning'. Mel studied to teach Yoga back in 2007, followed by Prenatal Yoga Teacher training 2013 with Janice Clarfield.
Mel qualified as a birth & postnatal doula with Australian Doula college in 2018 and
became a Lamaze certified childbirth educator in 2020.
Lamaze International is widely acknowledged to be the gold standard in antenatal education and is the only childbirth education program approved by the National Council of Certifying Agencies (NCCA).

Let labour begin on its own
Walk, move around and change positions throughout labour
Bring a loved one, friend or doula for continuous support
Avoid interventions that are not medically necessary
Avoid giving birth on your back and follow your body's urges to push
Keep mother and baby together — it's best for mother, baby and breastfeeding
Group classes are small and intimate, where you are able to interact, ask questions and connect with other couples. 6-8 people per group. Held Rose Bay Bodybright studio.
Private at home or Bodybright studio sessions can be booked and will be either;
2 x 2hr one on one sessions, or
1 x 4-5hr one on one session
1 x 3hr Refresher (for those previously birthed)
